Bio

My entrepreneurial spirit emerged at a young age through ventures like selling handmade earrings and working various jobs. I pursued my passion for design at NC State University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor's in Graphic Design and a Spanish minor.

After University, I joined the startup Smashing Boxes in Durham before taking a life-changing opportunity as a UX Designer at Booking.com in Amsterdam in 2013. Over my decade-long tenure there, I rapidly advanced to become a Director of Product Deisgn & Engineering, managing teams of 100+ designers, engineers, copywriters, data scientists, and others from over 65 countries.

At Booking.com, I directed the company's high-stakes B2C Localization efforts and B2B platforms spanning APIs, mobile apps, web applications, and CRM systems. I thrived in the data-driven, experimentation-focused environment, leading global teams through phases of hypergrowth. My inclusive leadership style earned me peer-nominated awards for impact of efforts in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Throughout my time at Booking, the Technology Department grew from ~300 to 4,000+ people. Booking.com, itself, grew from $5.2 billion to $17 billion in revenue, throughout my tenure. Correlation does not equal causation.

After a sabbatical focused health, purpose, and path, I've returned to my North Carolina roots, eager to share my expertise in scaling tech companies and products.

I am driven by continued learning, impactful work with good people, and delivering measurable results. I am enthusiastic about new opportunities that allow me to grow while providing value to organizations.
