It's on my mental backlog to revamp the dark mode toggle on my website, and do a refactor of the site to make use of the light-dark() pattern across the site. I'm really liking Richard Rutter's approach here:
- radios are better than my current slider in accessibility, clarity, and function;
- it encompasses system preferences as well as light and dark modes; and
- he built in typographic adjustments for dark mode (something been meaning to but haven't seen too many good examples).
Thankfully, he's packaged all the resource files in his post! Looking forward to integrate into my site at some point.
